2026 Artist Scholar Residency

University of Victoria & Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park
The Residency will take place on Hornby Island, and complete in Victoria, British Columbia.
The successful applicant will enjoy a September-October residency at the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park on Hornby Island (for 2 – 5 weeks) with an additional one week at UVic to engage with the Faculty of Fine Arts faculty and students. This Residency is for artists and scholars seeking space to focus on creating a work for exhibition or publication that is in some way informed by their investigation of Jeffrey Rubinoff’s work and their experience working at the sculpture park.
All travel, food, and accommodation will be covered by the residency, along with a budget to cover materials and shipping (if applicable). The awardee will receive a stipend of $5,000 (CAD) in addition to the covered costs. The awardee will have access to on-site facilities including the library, interpretive center, studio, and the sculpture park itself.
